The purpose of the Pleasure Island Parrot Heads (PIPH), is to bring Parrot Heads in the Wilmington, North Carolina area together for social, charitable, and educational purposes, and to promote the general welfare of the community.
PIPH is a not-for-profit organization whose purpose is to assist in community and environmental concerns and provide a variety of social activities for people who are interested in the music of Jimmy Buffett and the tropical lifestyle he personifies.
Pleasure Island Parrot Heads established in 1998 by Dave and Laura Lee Kendziora serving Carolina Beach, Kure Beach, Wilmington, NC and surrounding areas. In other words, we're a bunch of crazy people who enjoy having a blast, but at the same time do all we can to help out our community in the the social and environmental arenas.
Our members come from all walks of life. From bartenders to small business owners, doctors to computers nerds, or secretaries to community leaders -- you'll find them all here! We have one business meeting a month, as well as one ''happy hour'' a month, and have other functions as often as possible. Our Beach Sweep is in the fall, our Spring Phlocking in late sping, and other community events are all throughout the year.
